JOURNAL - Writing Encouraging Notes (CSBM)
We talked about what it means to encourage someone and who we could encourage with a note. We decided to send a letter of thanks and encouragement to Liam's three Sunday School teachers.
We drew a picture (that a girl would like :) ) and wrote a note of encouragement.

ADDRESSING AN ENVELOPE (CSBM)
We looked at what addresses and postal codes look like on an envelope. 

HISTORY (CSBM)
We talked about Sir Rawland Hill who invented the stamp system (1837 in Great Britain) We talked about how pre-paid postage solved a problem of a struggling postal system to create a system of moving letters that still works today.
1851 - The postal system and first stamp is released in CAD. The Beaver stamp was Canada's first stamp and the first stamp ever printed with an animal on it

ART 
We coloured a Beaver stamp for our unit study journal.

PE - 1 hr of road hockey with Dad

Thursday 

We did a morning of workbooks this day but I didn't write them down and I CAN'T REMEMBER - oops

SCIENCE - EARTH SCIENCE
Types of Rocks - This week we talked about 3 types of rocks pyrite, pumice and wonderstone. We read about how these rocks are formed, how they are used, how they are the same and how they are different.

BIBLE - AWANA verse and handbook review

Awana - was a no go. Liam started running a really high fever in the evening and we stayed home.

Friday

Fever of 104 degrees. So couch day it was :( We got ready to head out of town for Thanksgiving in Langley and Grandma and Grandpa's!

Saturday

1 hour of park time and soccer at Grandma and Grandpa's park.
